ABOUT US

Marie Chotiner, MA, RMHCI & Rebecca Cameron MA, RMHCI

Rebecca specializes in working with clients with trauma, sexual and physical abuse, neglect, and eating disorders. Her special populations include working with children and adolescents, but she also enjoys working with adults, individuals, and families. Rebecca is completing her graduate certificate in Play Therapy from the University of Central Florida.

Marie specializes in the management of Anxiety Disorders, OCD and Tic Disorders, and Mood Disorders, as well as working with clients with chronic illness. Her work is primarily anchored in Mindfulness CBT and DBT. Marie has a graduate certificate in Marriage & Family therapy from the University of Central Florida and works mainly with adults and seniors, individuals, and families.

GET TO KNOW US: REBECCA

Rebecca is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies from the University of North Florida. She is also in the process of finishing a graduate certificate in Play Therapy.


Rebecca's clinical experiences have included working with children and their families who have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, and traumatic events at The Healing Tree within the Children's Advocacy Center in Orlando, FL, extensive experience running substance abuse groups at the Orange County Youth Shelter, and providing individual and couples counseling in an outpatient setting for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, process addictions including eating disorders, and career counseling.


Rebecca operates from a strengths based and family systems approach. Her primary theoretical orientations include CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, child-centered play therapy, and feminist theory, with a focus in multicultural counseling.

Marie holds a BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida and earned her MA in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. She specialized in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and was also awarded a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Marie dedicates her life to healing people, families, and her community.


Marie’s clinical experiences include providing counseling services at The Center for Family Care - Florida Hospital, UCF Community Counseling and Research Center, and the Orange County Youth Shelter. Marie delivered interdisciplinary care to people living with chronic physical and mental illnesses. She prides herself on being an LGBTQ+ Affirming therapist. Marie specializes in working with adults and seniors in individual, family, and group therapy settings. She provides treatment for Anxiety Disorders, OCD and Related Disorders, Mood Disorders, and people living with acute and chronic medical issues. Marie operates from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective and delivers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy.
